Peggy; A caring mum who has given the house a fresh new look with countless litres of paint.
Our beloved children, Lukas, Helena, Michiel, and Paulien. Our two eldest are completing their studies in Belgium and Berlin, while our two youngest are studying in France, where we also spend much of our time.

Onze lieve kinderen Lukas, Helena, Michiel en Paulien. De Oudste kinderen ronden studie bijna af in Belgie en Berlijn. De jongste kinderen studeren in Frankrijk waar wij ook vertroeven. Nouchka ons hondje.
Wie ben ik?
Ik ben Peggy die alles rond jullie verblijf een vaste aanspreekpunt ben. Van de eerste vraag tot jullie boeking, van praktische uitleg tot het moment van inchecken: de communicatie verloopt persoonlijk via mij.
Ik kijk met plezier met jullie mee, denk graag na over wat mogelijk is en zorg ervoor dat alles vooraf duidelijk en rustig geregeld is. Zo kunnen jullie met een goed gevoel uitkijken naar jullie verblijf bij Altegaar.

I'm happy to help, answer your questions, and think along with you to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. My goal is to ensure everything is clear and well organized before you arrive, so you can look forward to a relaxing and worry-free stay at Altegaar.
Een thuis voor iedereen.
In 2020 verhuisden we met ons gezin naar Frankrijk, nadat Erwin daar een job aangeboden kreeg, vandaar de keuze om ons huis verder te laten leven als vakantiehuis “Altegaar”
In het Vlaams betekent het “allemaal samen”, en precies dat gevoel willen we hier bewaren: een huis waar mensen samen aankomen, samen tijd maken en zich welkom voelen.
De woning werd opgefrist en combineert vandaag historische charme met modern comfort voor tot 13 personen. En ook de komende tijd blijven we verder groeien. In het najaar van 2026 komen er nieuwe plannen aan, met onder andere een indoor speelruimte voor kinderen, een extra badkamer en een praktische fietsruimte voor wielertoeristen.

In 2020, our family moved to France after Erwin was offered a new job there. Rather than leaving our home behind, we decided to give it a new purpose as Holiday Home Altergaar.
In Flemish, Altegaar means "All Together", and that's exactly the feeling we want to preserve. A place where family and friends can gather, spend quality time together, and feel truly at home.
The house has been carefully renovated, combining its historic charm with modern comforts to accommodate up to 13 guests. And we're not stopping there. During the autumn of 2026, we're planning several exciting additions, including an indoor playroom for children, an extra bathroom, and a dedicated bike storage area for cycling enthusiasts.
